Captain Moin Ahmed, the Director General of IMSO, was the host of this year’s meeting. In attendance were Mr Christian Roisse, the Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO, Mr Jose Toscano, the Director General of ITSO. Mr Peter Broadhurst, Senior Vice President of Inmarsat Global Ltd. attended the meeting as an invited guest.
The meeting was held in accordance with the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed by the three organisations in 2009, whereby areas of mutual collaboration and co-operation were explored and discussed.
Each of the Heads made a presentation on their Organisation’s activities and also with regard to their oversight role of their respective satellite service providers. Mr. Broadhurst made a presentation on behalf of the Inmarsat highlighting the company’s activities and developments.
As this was the last tripartite meeting with the current Heads of EUTELSAT IGO and ITSO, the Director General of IMSO took this opportunity to formally bid them both farewell, after expressing his gratitude for their solidarity and cooperation, during their tenure in office.
The Meeting successfully concluded with the signing of the Joint Declaration by the three Heads, and a Press Release was issued.
