The Director General of IMSO Captain Moin Ahmed welcomed the Deputy Permanent Representative of Mongolia to IMO Mr Gankhuyag Soonom and the Director of the Mongolian Maritime Administration Mr Enkhbaatar Khuushaan to IMSO today.
At this visit, the Director General focussed in details to the IMSO business plan in respect of its oversight function of the public satellite safety and security services by mobile satellite communication systems, Inmarsat in particular; the Coordination of the Long-Range Identification and Tracking of Ships (LRIT) System worldwide.
A further highlight to the visit was a guided tour of the Inmarsat Network Operations Centre (NOC).
The Mongolian delegation courteously extended its government’s appreciation to IMSO for this kind gesture of co-operation.
