The Director General of IMSO Captain Moin Ahmed, was honoured by a visit to IMSO today, by His Excellency Mr. Sonatu Tupou, the acting High Commissioner for Tonga, who was accompanied by the First Secretary of the Tonga High Commission Mr Siale Vuki Bain Vete.
The delegation also well received the guided tour of the Inmarsat Network Operations Centre (NOC) facilities it further consolidated the relevance and importance of the IMSO- Inmarsat symbiosis in the maritime sphere.
The visit focussed on the effective implementation of GMDSS and LRIT system by Tonga, and the Acting High Commissioner emphasised the importance of a close working relationship with IMSO, for his country.
