IMSO at the Arctic Emergency Management Conference

IMSO Head of Operational Services, Mr. Halil Keskin addressed the Arctic Emergency Management Conference, held at the Nord University Campus in Bodø, Norway, from 18-20 March 2025.

During a panel discussion focused on Communication and Situational Awareness in Arctic Emergencies, Mr. Keskin highlighted the important role that IMSO plays in overseeing satellite safety communication systems — an essential component for ensuring effective emergency response in Arctic conditions.

Mr. Keskin was joined by representatives from Joint Rescue and Coordination Centre (JRCC) North Norway and Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), who contributed valuable insights during the panel discussions.

As one of the first international conferences dedicated to a holistic view of Arctic emergency management, the event provided a crucial platform for discussions, knowledge exchange, and advancing collaboration on emergency management in the Arctic.
