49th session of the IMSO Advisory Committee

The forty-ninth session of the IMSO Advisory Committee took place from 13 to 16 November 2023 in London at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), where the Headquarters of the Organization is located. The Committee witnessed pivotal discussions and initiatives that underscored the commitment to good governance and transparency within the Organization.

The Committee showed its appreciation to the Director General’s efforts in fostering responsiveness, effectiveness, transparency, accountability and adaptability within the Directorate.

Under the professional leadership of the Chair, Dr. Christos Atalianis of Cyprus, the Committee had in front of it a broad and comprehensive agenda and following the extensive discussions made a good progress towards the completion of the tasks it was assigned by the twenty-eighth session of the Assembly of Parties.
