IMSO Completes 1,000th LRIT Audit

IMSO has successfully completed its 1,000th Long-Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) audit, marking a major milestone in its oversight of the global LRIT system.

The achievement reflects more than 17 years of work to support the reliability, security and effective operation of LRIT system worldwide.

The milestone was delivered through the dedicated efforts of IMSO’s LRIT audit team, Mr Halil Keskin and Mr Pier-Giovanni Taranti, whose expertise and commitment have helped maintain high standards of compliance across the international LRIT community.

This accomplishment underscores IMSO’s continuing role in strengthening maritime safety and security through independent oversight of the LRIT system.
